Now, let me be clear. I am aware of the poverty line. I am aware that there are tons of people who are hungry, homeless, and hurting on the streets, consuming all areas of America from Skid Row to the Bronx. Yes, we who have should help them who have not. That's not in question, and it's not my point. I want to focus our lens elsewhere. Just stop for a minute and be consumed in gratitude.
Navendu Bayya worships the Lord at a Gospel for Asia fellowship in South Asia. A few years ago, he could barely feed his family. He and his wife wanted a brighter future for their three young children, so they began praying for the finances to send them to school.
The Lord provided! Because someone purchased a rickshaw through Gospel for Asia's Christmas campaign, Navemdu's pastor was able to give him a rickshaw. As a rickshaw driver, Navendu makes up to three times as much as he made before. Now his children are not only getting food, but also an education!
Priorities are so different in America, and I hope that you start your 2015 off with a grateful heart, thanking God for what you have, and perhaps helping others who have not.
Laugh. Believe. Inspire. Love.
